Welcome to Ashby Concert Band

Once again Ashby Concert Band has an exciting programme of concerts lined up for 2018.

On 9th June we will once again be supporting the outstanding work of Ashby Rotary to help raise much needed funds for Hospice Hope who are planning a new hospice to support the local area. The theme of this concert is 'The Wild West'! We have some great music planned including themes from some of those classic Western TV programmes from the 1960's like Bronco, Rawhide, Maverick and the wonderful Cheyenne. We will also be playing some of the major movie themes such as The Big Country, How The West Was Won, The Cowboys, The Magnificent Seven, Shane and Silverado. We are hoping everyone will enter into the spirit and come suitably attired in checkered shirts, denims and maybe even a stetson or two!

In November we will be performing our annual concert to raise funds for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. The concert this year has special significance as it marks the 100th Anniversary of the end of the World War I. Once again we will be joined by our friends and colleagues for The Seaforth Highlanders Pipe and Drum Corps.

On 15th December we will round out our year with our annual Christmas concert.
